Fugitive nabbed after using fake name that belongs to another fugitive
A fugitive was arrested in Mexico after using a fake name that turned out to belong to another fugitive that American cops were hunting down.
Ernest McBride was apprehended by Mexican police last week after he used the name of fugitive Brian Andrews, as per Fox 13 News yesterday, June 28.
Authorities found out McBride’s identity only after he was taken to US soil, where his fingerprint matched his real name.
The real Andrews, who killed a Florida couple in 2007 by drunk driving, still remains at large. He was driving with a suspended license and had a blood alcohol level four times over the legal limit back then, according to the report.
The then-29-year-old Andrews, however, was able to leave the country before he could be prosecuted.

“The elation and the sense of closure was for not just us, but family, friends, and people we didn’t even know, people who have been following the case online and who are collecting tips online,” Pennington added.
The daughter noted that while they still do not know where Andrews is, there are “people who do” and they hope that someone will help them if the news gets shared more.
“We went to sleep Wednesday night for the first time in 14 years without the fear on our chest of someone else feeling the same way we do. And Friday night, that weight was back,” Pennington was quoted as saying. Ian Biong /ra
