Pason rules USC-BED chess

ALLAN PASON of Lapu-Lapu City’s Pajo National High School dominated the two-day University of San Carlos-Basic Education Department (USC-BED) Active Chess Tournament held at the USC-BED north campus over the weekend.

After seven rounds, Pason tallied 6.5 points to log his second major win this year and bag the P3,000 cash prize.

Diego Abraham Claro, Shaira Mae Mansalud and Jeffu Dorog settled for second place with 6 points six points each.

In third place was Rhenzi Kyle Sevillano, Glexan Derotas and Ariel Joseph Abellana with 5.5 points each. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
