CQCU eyes 2nd UFL win today
THE CEBU Queen City United Football Club (CQCU FC) will try to nail its second straight win as it goes up against Pachanga FC in a televised match of the United Football League (UFL) Second Division Tournament at 2 p.m. today at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
CQCU FC will have its hands full as it faces the division leader Pachanga FC, which has 12 points after having won all four of its matches. CQCU’s first win against Laos FC last week catapulted it to seventh place out of 12 teams.
Head coach Mario Ceniza said the team will be lucky if Pachanga FC plays with the same formation they used against the Dolphins United FC since they are prepared for that.
In that formation, Ceniza said that Joshua Fegidero, a former Azkal, played only in the first half.
Another player to watch out for is Robert Canedo, whom he said scored two goals in their game against the Dolphins.
If this will not be the case, Ceniza said they will play to their strength. They will still employ the 4-4-2 system and try to score their goals from the wings. Ceniza said the goals that they have scored so far in the tournament have all come from the wings. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
