7,000 seek medical help from Robredo’s E-Konsulta

/ 05:18 AM May 02, 2021

In less than a month since the launch of Bayanihan E-Konsulta—a free telemedicine platform for both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients—more than 7,000 requests entered through the platform were completed, Vice President Leni Robredo said on Friday night. In a Facebook post, Robredo said the completed requests were processed for teleconsultation or other services. As of April 28, the platform has received more than 26,000 requests. But a significant fraction of the requests were not completed as users either did not submit the necessary information or they encountered glitches. The Office of the Vice President launched Bayanihan E-Konsulta on April 7, amid the surge of COVID-19 cases, to help those who need medical assistance. A total of 642 doctors have offered their services for free. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
