Habal driver gunned down

A 30-year-old habal-habal (motorcycle-for-hire) driver was shot dead by two unidentified men in barangay Valencia, Carcar City, southern Cebu.

Frederick Pancit was shot while he was driving a motorcycle with his 44-year-old sister riding with him, said police.

Police said Pancit was headed to barangay Poblacion III when he was attacked around 5 p.m. last Thursday.

Pancit was driving along a road in sitio Pang-pang when he was shot from behind by the backrider of another motorcycle.

Pancit was hit in the back of the head.

Pancit’s motorcycle crashed. His sister was unharmed.

Pancit was rushed to the Carcar District Hospital but did not make it alive.
