2 lending collectors robbed in Alcoy

TWO lending firm collectors reported to the police that they were robbed at gunpoint in barangay Guiwang, Alcoy town, southern Cebu.

Glenn Farole, 23, and Nedie Pana, 26, told police that P11,000 in collection money were taken in the robbery last Thursday afternoon.

The two are workers of the Dumaguet City-based Reynaldo Financing Services Corp.

They said they just completed a round of collection in the barangay and were headed for Dumaguete on board a motorcycle when they were robbed.

The collectors said two men on a motorcycle blocked their path around 2 p.m.

Farole and Pana said the robbers pointed .45 pistols at them and took the cash. They said two Nokia cell phones and a wallet that contained P1,500 cash were also taken by the robbers.
