Police headquarters in Bohol town placed under lockdown

TAGBILARAN CITY — The police station of Dauis town in Bohol was placed on lockdown since Friday after seven police officers and two non-uniform personnel tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Dauis Mayor Marietta Sumaylo said those who were infected were “first-generation contacts” of the chief of police of Dauis who contracted the virus  while in Cebu.

“They were already isolated,” she said.

Sumaylo advised residents to follow the health protocols since the town recorded 23 active cases of Covid-19.

At least 10 police officers arrived at the Dauis Police Station, as part of the augmentation forces from the Bohol Provincial Police Office, to look after the town’s peace and order situation.

They currently hold office at the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Dauis station.

Residents of Dauis are advised to proceed to Tagbilaran Police Station if they want to get a police clearance.  Those who want to secure a Travel Authority, they are advised to proceed to the Camp Francisco Dagohoy Headquarters.
