Free art forum set for Feb. 6

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI), Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU)-School of Humanities and Cebu Normal University will hold a forum on “ArtWorks Cebu 2012” on Feb. 6 at 2-4 p.m. at the Eva Macapagal Memorial Arts Center in CNU.

The forum will feature Dr. Maria Luz Vilches, dean of the School of Humanities of Ateneo de Manila University.

Vilches will talk about “ArtsWork Cebu” and the importance of arts education in schools.

“ArtsWork Cebu” or Ateneo Arts Workshop Cebu Leg is a summer outreach program of the AdMU-School of Humanities in partnership with RAFI.

Now in its third run, this three-day workshop is for junior high school students who have artistic talents, particularly in visual arts, creative writing and theater arts.

School principals and educators are encouraged to participate.
