Friends hope Dacera’s mom accepts that daughter died of natural causes
MANILA, Philippines — Two of Christine Dacera’s friends, who joined her at a New Year’s Day party before her death, appealed to her mother, Sharon, to finally accept that her 23-year-old daughter died of natural causes and not rape and homicide.
“Nandoon na rin po ang medicolegal and all documents, nandoon na po e. Nagpapakita na po iyon iyong mga results sana maintindihan niya. Sana tanggapin niya, paniwalaan niya na iyong anak niya namatay sa natural cause,” Clark Rapinan told ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), when asked about their message to Dacera’s mom.
(The documents are there. It showed the results and I hope she understands that. I hope she accepts it and believe that her daughter died of natural causes.)
Gregorio De Guzman, for his part, hoped that Dacera’s mother may find her peace and help them relieve from all the trauma that the Dacera complaint caused them.
“We’ve been trying to understand whatever happened because of course, she had just lost her daughter and so I hope this finally clears everything out. I hope you [Sharon] find peace. And if you have, I hope you can help us find our peace and relief from this trauma and all these torture,” said De Guzman in the same interview with ANC.
The Philippine National Police submitted a medicolegal report to the Makati city prosecutor’s office which showed that Dacera died of aneurysm due to increased blood pressure.
