Duterte Cabinet meeting set Monday, public address on pandemic moved to midweek
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte’s weekly public address on the COVID-19 pandemic has been rescheduled as he will be presiding a full Cabinet meeting later Monday, his spokesman has said.
According to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, Duterte’s regular public address on the health crisis will be held on Wednesday.
“Mamayang gabi po (Tonight), there will be a Cabinet meeting and the talk to the people will be on Wednesday,” Roque said.
Roque added that the agenda of the Cabinet meeting is confidential.
Duterte usually convenes a full Cabinet meeting every month but the meetings have not been frequent lately because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
