COVID-19 cases in PNP reach over 9,000 with 352 active infections

MANILA, Philippines — There are now over 9,000 COVID-19 cases among members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) with 352 active infections, according to the police force.

In a Facebook post of the PNP on Friday, the national police also recorded 31 new recoveries, bringing the total to 8,657.

Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 352 after 27 new deaths were recorded.

And as of 6 p.m. of Jan. 1, there were 22 cases reported that day.

The Department of Health previously reported that the Philippines COVID-19 case load was at 475,820 with 439,895 recoveries and 9,248 deaths.
