Cloud cluster that could develop into LPA spotted outside PAR
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is currently monitoring a cloud cluster outside the Philippine area of responsibility where a low pressure area (LPA) might develop.
The cloud cluster is located east of Mindanao, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in a weather forecast issued by Pagasa at 4 a.m. Wednesday.
“Sa cloud cluster ay may posibilidad na may mabuong low pressure area kaya patuloy po natin itong babantayan,” he said.
(An LPA may develop in the cloud cluster so we are continuously monitoring it.)
Meanwhile, Pagasa’s forecast also showed that Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a frontal system.
