Cloud cluster may bring rains in eastern section of Mindanao — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The cloud cluster spotted by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) may bring rains in the eastern section of Mindanao on Saturday morning, according to the state weather bureau.
In a weather forecast issued 4 a.m. Friday, Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz said the cloud cluster has not yet developed into a low pressure area (LPA).
“Although may nakikita tayong cloud cluster dito sa silangang bahagi ng Mindanao, ito ay mga kaulapan lamang sa ngayon at hindi pa po ito LPA. Pero inaasahan natin na tomorrow morning, early morning hanggang bukas ng umaga, maaari po itong magdulot ng pag-ulan sa silangang bahagi ng Mindanao,” she said.
(Although we are seeing a cloud cluster in the eastern section of Mindanao, it is just a cloud band and has not developed into an LPA. But we expect that starting early morning tomorrow, it will bring rains in the eastern section of Mindanao.)
Meanwhile for the weather forecast this Friday, Dela Cruz said Batanes and Babuyan Islands will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms, on the other hand, are forecast to prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
