Charity run set for street children

A run for the benefit of street children is set on Feb. 12. Organized by SM City Cebu, together with Run for Sight Foundation Inc., this is one of the biggest running events in Cebu.

The run will start in SM City Cebu, passing through the South Road Properties, going to SM Seaside City Complex and back to SM City Cebu.

SM 2 SM Run II categories include 21-K, 12-K, 6-K and 3-K.

It will also highlight the Radisson Blu Hotel 21-K and 12-K Couples Run category where gift certificates for overnight stay and lunch or dinner buffet will be given as prizes.

FEATURED STORIES

Registration fee is at P700 for 21-K, P350 for 12-K and P300 for 6-K and 3-K.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Cebu City Task Force on Street Children to help them fund their programs.

Chaired by Cebu City Councilor Margot Osmeña, the task force is an umbrella organization of 27 child caring member-agencies in Cebu City.

CCTFSC is now embarking on a youth career development program designed to improve the lives of the young, underprivileged people.

Registration is ongoing at the first level of The Northwing (near Duty Free Philippines and Cafe Laguna), Centre for Sight in Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital and SAPPRO Office at the Cebu Doctors’ University.
