MANILA, Philippines — Light to moderate with at times heavy rainfall may still be expected in Metro Manila on Thursday night even if no more Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal has been hoisted over it.

In its 5 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Typhoon Ulysses was last spotted 200 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said Ulysses is moving westward at 25 kph and likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday morning.

Currently, Pagasa placed the western portion of Pangasinan, Tarlac, the western portion of Pampanga, Zambales, Bataan, and Lubang Island under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

Like Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Samar Provinces, and the rest of Luzon were already off any cyclone wind signal but will still experience light to moderate with at times heavy rain on Thursday night.

On the other hand, moderate to heavy rain can be expected over the Cordillera Administrative Region, eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela, Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, Cavite, western portion of Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro, including Lubang Island.
