Cebu leg of Dunlop Junior Tennis opens today
SOME 111 junior netters will be gathering at the Cebu Tennis Center in Laray, Consolacion today as the Cebu leg of the Dunlop Sports Visayas Junior Tennis Series come off wraps.
Leading the participants is Cebu’s no. 1 girls player Sally Mae Siso, who will be playing in her last year for age-group tournaments.
Siso will be turning 18 this March and will have to move on to the women’s category by the end of the year.
Other top Cebuano netters seeing action are Arthur Craig “Igi” Diaz Pantino and Jan Godfrey Seno.
Some of the participants are Filipinos who are now based in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
This tournament is a Group 4 Philippine Tennis Association (Philta)-sanctioned event and will award 60 points to each age-group category champion.
