/ 07:49 AM November 03, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The entire country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains as tropical storm Rolly (international name “Goni”) is forecast to exit the Philippine area of responsibility anytime this Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Based on the weather forecast issued by Pagasa at 4 a.m., Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeasterly surface wind flow.

Meanwhile, tropical storm Sioni (international name “Atsani”) continues to move almost stationary 595 km east of Calayan, Cagayan. It has maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

(Because it continues to move stationary, our expectation that it may make landfall in the Batanes-Babuyan Islands area in the coming days remains.)

(We expect that within 36 hours, it will not move that much in its position so our forecast track may still change in the coming days.)
