Stolen Dalmatian reunited with owners after police find thief

A stolen Dalmatian was finally reunited with its family after police tracked down the thief who claimed to be its owner.

The family (name withheld) reported that their Dalmatian and German shepherd went missing on Sept. 9 in Georgia, United States.

A woman eventually found them and placed an ad about the lost dogs on the website Craigslist, as per the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook on Sept. 13.

The family then contacted the woman after seeing the ad about their dogs. However, the woman had already released the Dalmatian to another lady who claimed to be its owner.

Following the woman’s update, the family immediately informed authorities to seek help. Tw0 days after, investigators received a tip that a lady was seen walking with a Dalmatian along a main road.

Officers canvassed the said area and spotted a car that matched the description of the suspected thief’s vehicle. The policemen later arrived at a home where the car was parked and spoke to a 31-year-old named Andrea Gore.

“Investigators inquired about the Dalmatian and located it in the bathroom of Gore’s residence,” the department said.

Authorities then arrested Gore and charged her with theft/lost mislaid property.

After the successful hunt for the stolen dog, the department posted a photo of two investigators posing with the Dalmatian and its young owner. The department also assured that the German shepherd is back with the family.

Officers placed Gore in a local law enforcement center and set her bond at $650 (around P31,400). JB
