ASG subleader Susukan moved to Camp Crame, gets tested for COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) sub-commander Anduljihad “Idang” Susukan was transferred early Saturday to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center inside Camp Crame, headquarters of the PNP in Quezon City.

The PNP said Susukan arrived at the PNP headquarters at 1 a.m.

Susukan was then subjected to the standard documentation procedures and underwent RT-PCR testing for COVID-19. Testing for COVID-19 is now part of the procedures, the PNP said.

“Susukan will remain at PNP custodial center pending release of court disposition,” the PNP said.

The Abu Sayyaf Group sub-commander was turned over to the police with the help of Moro National Liberation Front chairman Nur Misuari in Davao City.

Susukan is wanted in the Philippines and in Malaysia for a series of kidnappings on the east coast of Sabah since 2013 and for other crimes in Jolo Island in Sulu.
