Navotas City: 3,468 quarantine violators arrested, so far

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested 246 more individuals who breached quarantine protocols in Navotas City, pushing the total number of lockdown violators in the city to 3,468.

Navotas City is currently under a 14-day lockdown to suppress the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).  The strict community quarantine will end on July 29, 2020.

“Sa ulat ng ating Navotas City police, umabot na sa 3,468 ang mga nahuling lumabag sa ating mga safety measures,” the Navotas City’s social media post stated on Thursday.

Police said the latest batch of violators is made up of 3,285 adults and 183 minors.

As of July 22, 2020, Navotas City logged 1,334 confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases. A total of  616 patients, so far, have recovered while 81 others expired.
