MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) warns the public against the proliferation of fake emails claiming to come from the agency but are meant to steal personal data.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the DOH had received reports about suspicious emails supposedly sent by the department for the distribution of free testing machines, face masks and ventilators.

She advised the public to ignore, report and not to open emails originating from these addresses: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected].

“There is no truth to this. These emails are not linked to the Department of Health and any of its attached agencies. These may be fraudulent ways to steal your personal information and data,” she added.
