Restaurants allowed to operate until 9 p.m.

MANILA, Philippines — Diners are now allowed to stay and eat in restaurants up to 9 p.m. amid quarantine restrictions.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has modified its guidelines and permitted longer operating hours for restaurants, cafes and bars.

Restaurants in areas under general community quarantine can now operate at 30 percent capacity up to 9 p.m. in the evening. But restaurants, cafes, and bars should continue to follow health protocols, such as physical distancing.
