Rainy Thursday night over Metro Manila, other Luzon provinces
MANILA, Philippines — It is going to be a rainy Thursday evening over Metro Manila and other Luzon provinces, the state weather bureau said.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 6:21 p.m, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds will be experienced over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Rizal, Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan and Zambales within the next two hours.
The weather conditions are being experienced over Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Pantabangan, San Jose, Lupao), Cavite (Tagaytay, Mendez, Silang), Laguna (Binan, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, Alaminos), Batangas (Laurel, Talisay, Tanauan, Balete, Mataas Na Kahoy) and Quezon province (Patnanungan, Burdeos, Calauag, Real, GeneralNakar, Lopez, Gumaca, Macalelon), which may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas, Pagasa added.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the state weather bureau said.
Earlier, Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren said that despite the hot and humid weather that may be experienced in most parts of the country for Friday, isolated thunderstorms may bring rain showers.
