After disinfection, Sampaloc’s Trabajo Market to reopen March 31
MANILA, Philippines — The Trabajo Market in Sampaloc, Manila, will reopen Tuesday, three days after it was temporarily shut down following the positive diagnosis on a female meat vendor for COVID-19.
“Trabajo Market will reopen tomorrow morning,” Manila Public Information Office chief Julius Leonen told INQUIRER.net in a text message on Monday.
On Saturday, the market was closed to the public by local officials for disinfection activities.
As of 5 p.m. on Sunday, the number of Manila City residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 is at 55. Of this number, seven have died while one patient has recovered.
The number of patients under investigation (PUI) in the city is at 224.
Data from the Manila PIO showed that among all areas in the city, Sampaloc has the most number of COVID-19 cases at 17, while the number of PUIs is at 57.
