SC forms task force to prevent COVID-19 transmission
MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court has created a task force to address the rising cases of COVID-19 infection in the country.
Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez will chair the task force, which duties include, among others, the recommendation of a plan of actions as well as drafting of guidelines and policies to the Chief Justice and the Court En Banc to prevent the spread and minimize the threat of the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2.
The task force should also monitor the conditions of justices, judges, court officials and personnel, and their workplaces; and keep itself updated about issuances of the Executive and Legislative Departments regarding COVID-19 in order to harmonize actions of the Judiciary.
