Authorities said that seven to eight million devotees are expected to join the procession, which serves as the culmination of the nine-day Traslacion 2012 that started last Sunday with a thanks-giving mass.

This year’s theme, aptly titled “Espiritu ng ama at ng Panginoong Hesus Nazareno-Samabayanang Pilipino, Ibangon po niyo,” is important for the reformation of the country after being ravaged by recent killer storms, Monsignor Clemente F. Ignacio, parish priest of Quiapo Church, said before reporters at a press conference at the St. Benedict building Tuesday.
