Over 400 flee landslides, flash floods spawned by ‘Ramon’ in Camarines Sur
NAGA CITY –– More than 429 people were evacuated from their homes, as rains brought by Tropical Storm “Ramon” triggered landslide and flash floods in Tinambac town in Camarines Sur province Thursday morning.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in Tinambac said the rescued families were from the villages of Tamban, Mananao, Buenavista, and Bagacay.
A landslide was reported in Mananao, while the rest of Tinambac had flooding.
The MDRRMO said evacuations were ongoing as of Thursday noon.
Tinambac is located in the northern part of Camarines Sur near the island province of Catanduanes, where the “eye” of the storm was located as of Thursday.
