Magnitude 4.4 aftershock jolts Surigao del Sur
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 aftershock hit Surigao del Sur on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake was an aftershock of the magnitude 5.5 quake that hit the province last July 13.

The aftershock of tectonic origin was located 12 kilometers southwest of Carrascal town in Surigao del Sur and was recorded at 12:52 p.m.
Intensity IV was felt in the town of Cantilan while Intensity III was felt in the towns of Carrascal, Madrid, and Carmen in Surigao del Sur.
Intensity I, meanwhile, was felt in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
