Truck spills cargo of chicks, causes traffic on NLEX
MANILA, Philippines — A truck figured in an accident that made it spill its crates of chicks on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) causing heavy traffic on the northbound side near Bocaue bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Pilar Patrice Manuel posted photos of the truck on Twitter, where her handle is @particecinnamon.
“A truck containing crates of chicks met an accident northbound NLEX near the Bocaue tollgate earlier this afternoon,” read the caption. “Vehicular traffic is temporarily stopped while civilians and expressway patrol officers try to save as many chicks as they could.”

NLEX said in tweet: “As of 3:51 PM, traffic build up before Bocaue NB due to accident occupying two lanes. Left most and rightmost lane passable for traffic. Please pass with care!”

After more than two hours, NLEX tweeted another message: “As of 5:38 PM, traffic build up from Meycauayan to Bocaue NB due to earlier accident/s along Bocaue and Meycauayan area. Incident site/s was already cleared. All four lanes are passable for traffic.”
