Isko Moreno to DILG chief: We won’t stop cleaning up Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno assures Interior Secretary Eduardo Año that his administration won’t stop cleaning up the national capital.
“Ang challenge natin ngayon ay maging consistent. Huwag sana natin isipin na ngayon lang ang mga nangyayaring pagbabago na ito. We will not stop,” he said in a statement issued on Saturday.
[Our challenge now is to be consistent. Let’s not think that these changes are only happening now. We will not stop.]
Año earlier asked Moreno to sustain reform programs in Manila until the end of his three-year term.
He also lauded Moreno for his efforts in eliminating illegal gambling and cleaning up the streets of Manila and implementing more effective waste management.

Moreno thanked the Año for commending the work of city hall workers and barangay officials in their mission to clean up Manila.
