2 nabbed in QC drug sting; P240K worth of marijuana seized
MANILA, Philippines — Two drug suspects landed in jail while P240,000 worth of marijuana was confiscated in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Tuesday night.
Police identified the suspects as Fernando Nuez, alias Boss, 21, and Ruperto Perona, alias Badong, 25.
Members of the Novaliches police under Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Quezon City conducted the buy-bust operation in a subdivision on Elgi Street in Barangay San Agustin at 9:30 p.m.
Seized were two kilograms of dried marijuana leaves valued at P240,000, a weighing scale, cellphone, and vehicle used for the delivery of drugs.
The suspects are now detained at the Novaliches police station while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
