LRT-2 stops operation on Thursday afternoon — netizens

MANILA, Philippines – The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) reportedly stopped operations on Thursday afternoon after encountering technical problems, train riders have reported on social media.

Twitter posts from LRT-2 riders said the line stopped its operations from the V. Mapa Station in Manila to the line’s Santolan Station in Pasig City.

“LRT2 on Code Red meaning stop opearation atm from V. Mapa to Santolan and Santolan to V. Mapa,” Twitter user Tofee Villanueva (@sunpetvill507) said.

“Aberya nanaman sa LRT line 2,” Twitter user Jade (@LynarieEugenio) added.

One netizen lamented that she was forced to ride a bus because of the interrupted service.
