Zumba dance teacher shot dead in Lucena

LUCENA CITY, Philippines  – A 41-year-old zumba dance instructor was shot and killed in the outskirts of the city late Thursday afternoon.

Lucena City police reported that Regina Orbes was traversing the national road aboard her motorcycle when she was shot several times by a still unidentified gunman in Barangay (village) Mayao Crossing at about 6 p.m.

Police said the victim died on the spot after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in various parts of the body.

Police are conducting further investigation to identify the gunman and establish the motive behind the shooting.  (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
