VIPs attend proclamation of winning Senate bets

MANILA, Philippines — Notable guests from government officials to showbiz personalities have attended the proclamation of winning senatorial bets on Wednesday at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Reelectionist Senator Cynthia Villar, who topped the senatorial race, was accompanied by her husband Manny Villar who once served as senator and Las Piñas representative.

Villar’s children Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Mark and Las Piñas Representative-elect Camille, were also present at the proclamation.

Meanwhile, actress Susan Roces accompanied her daughter Senator Grace Poe who ranked second in the senatorial race.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Oscar Albayalde, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Guillermo Eleazar and Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana were also present at the proclamation.

They accompanied former PNP chief and senator-elect Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on the stage after he was given his certificate of proclamation.

Mother of senator-elect Imee Marcos former First Lady and incumbent Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos was also in attendance together with former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Actress and Cavite mayor-elect Lani Mercado-Revilla accompanied her husband Senator-elect Ramon “Bong” Revilla at the proclamation of the winning Senate bets.

Also present was their son actor and Cavite Vice Governor-elect Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III.

Former Vice President Jejomar Binay was also in attendance to support his daughter senator-elect Nancy Binay during the proclamation.  (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
