Prominent Filipino personalities cast vote on Election Day

MANILA, Philippines—Prominent personalities were among the over 61 million Filipinos who exercised their right to vote on Monday.
Actor and senatorial aspirant Lito Lapid was among those who voted early. The former senator cast his vote in Porac, Pampanga.

Veteran actress Susan Roces also arrived in her polling precinct early for the May midterm elections.
Roces, the mother of reelectionist Senator Grace Poe, cast her vote in San Juan City.

Opposition Senatorial aspirant Bam Aquino, meanwhile, said he will attend a mass after casting his vote in Quezon City. He added that he will just stay with his family while waiting for the poll results.

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar cast his vote at Pedro E. Diaz High School in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Accompanied by his wife Cindy, reelectionist Senator JV Ejercito cast his vote at Xavier School in San Juan City.
Ejercito, who first claimed a Senate seat in 2013, is running under the banner of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). He was also endorsed by President Rodrigo Duterte and presidential daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Administration bet and reelectionist Senator Koko Pimentel arrived at his precinct in Cagayan De Oro 10 minutes after the polls opened nationwide. He told reporters in a Viber message that his voting went “smooth.”
Meanwhile, Senate President Vicente Sotto III and his wife, actress Helen Gamboa, arrived at their polling precinct at White Plains, Quezon City around 8:30 a.m.
Senator Risa Hontiveros also voted around 7:30 a.m. at the North Susana Executive Village in Quezon City.
Vice President Leni Robredo cast her vote in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

Photos sent by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) showed the Vice President lining up with her fellow Bicolanos inside the Tabuco Central School. Robredo, who chairs the Liberal Party, has openly endorsed the Otso Diretso slate.

Senator Chiz Escudero, who is running for governor of Sorsogon, and his wife Heart Evangelista cast their vote at Buhatan Integrated Elementary School in Sorsogon around 6 a.m.
