BFP gets 22 emergency vehicles from Japan

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Monday received 22 emergency vehicles donated by the Japanese government, which will be distributed to far-flung municipalities and cities in Luzon.

The 14 ambulances, six pumpers, and two rescue trucks will be distributed to areas in the Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Cordillera Administrative Region, the BFP said in a statement.

According to Fire Superintendent Dennis Molo, focal person of the BFP’s project on emergency vehicles, the Japanese government has donated a total of 76 emergency vehicles to the fire bureau since 2014. / gsg
