Cimatu to fellow PMA alumni: Help rehabilitate Manila Bay
FORT DEL PILAR, BAGUIO CITY — Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, who was the guest of honor during the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) alumni homecoming here on Saturday, has called on his fellow alumni to help the government rehabilitate Manila Bay.
In his speech, Cimatu cited President Duterte’s “political will” in the success of the six-month clean-up of Boracay Island in Aklan.
He said months later after the rehabilitation of Boracay, the President now wants to save Manila Bay from further deterioration.
He then called on his fellow cavaliers “to help us rehabilitate our national treasures.”
Cimatu is a member of PMA Class of 1970.
A total of 6,000 alumni members attended this year’s reunion. PNP Chief Director Gen. Oscar Albayalde (Class 1986) was one of the awardees during the homecoming. Inquirer Northern Luzon/lzb
