P3.4M ‘shabu’ seized in Legazpi City

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — Anti-narcotics agents arrested a man after selling some P3.4 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent on Wednesday night during a buy bust operation along Legazpi Boulevard in this city.

According to Christian Frivaldo, acting regional director of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bicol, suspect Benedict Oliveros, a resident of Barangay (village) San Isidro of Pili town in Camarines Sur province, was arrested at around 10:05 p.m.

Authorities seized 500 grams of shabu from the suspect.

Frivaldo said Oliveros is linked with the drug suppliers operating in Rinconada, Camarines Sur.  /muf
