Makati lifts coding scheme for holiday season

MANILA, Philippines — Makati City announced the suspension of its number coding scheme in relation to the Christmas and New Year holidays.

In a tweet, the local government of Makati said that the coding scheme is suspended on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and on January 1, 2019.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced on Tuesday that the coding scheme for private vehicles are suspended from December 24 until January 1.

But the MMDA later said the suspension of coding scheme for December 31 has yet “to be announced.”

The public is expected to flock to various terminals around the country to celebrate the holiday season in provinces and tourist spots. /je
