Drug test for Duterte? ‘Hindi niya papatulan ‘yon,’ Palace says
Malacañang on Thursday said President Rodrigo Duterte will not pay heed to the reiteration of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s challenge for him to undergo a drug test.
“I think he (Trillanes) should be the one who need to undergo that. Hindi niya (Duterte) papatulan ‘yon (Duterte won’t even engage in that),” Panelo said in a Palace briefing.
“Hindi kailangan. Eh talaga namang — look at this person, this President. Malakas. Sinasabi niya naman sa atin kung ano ang diperensya niya eh,” he added.
(No need. Just look at this person, this President. He’s strong. He tells us what’s wrong with him anyways.)
Trillanes renewed his challenge to Duterte to undergo drug test after the latter joked of using marijuana to cope up with his hectic schedule.

Sa iba, hindi na kaya (it doesn’t really affect me because I use marijuana to stay awake. Others can’t take it),” he said in a speech in Malacañang.
In an interview after the speech, the President said that he was just joking and was just trying to provide a light moment.
“Plastic ang gamit ko. Plastic na marijuana (What I’m using is plastic. Plastic marijuana),” Duterte told reporters in an interview. /je
