‘Electrical failure’ disrupts MRT-3 service Sunday
A southbound train of the Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) suffered a glitch Sunday morning that resulted in the offloading of 400 passengers at the Ayala station.
According to the advisory, the MRT-3 train suffered an “electrical failure in the motor” at 8:18 a.m.
One cause of the electrical failure is “worn-out electrical sub-components such as the main chopper, regulator, and insulator.”
Affected passengers boarded another train that arrived six minutes later.
