2 dead, 1 hurt in 2 Ecija gun attacks
CABANATUAN CITY – A farmer and a man driving a sedan were killed, while the vehicle’s passenger was critically wounded, in separate gun attacks that took place on Tuesday night (June 26) and Wednesday dawn (June 27) in Nueva Ecija province.
Marvin Ador Dionisio was driving a black sedan (with plate number ULF-269) for his relative Reynaldo Bauto, Jr. along the Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road in Barangay (village) San Isidro here when men aboard a black sports utility vehicle opened fire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Dionisio died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds. Bauto, the sedan owner, was rushed by responding villagers to a hospital, police said.
Bauto is a suspect in the ambush slay of fish dealers in Sta. Rosa town in January.
In Guimba town at 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, a lone gunman shot Jerome Bugarin, 30, in the chest. A farmer of Barangay Manggang Marikit, Bugarin was walking with two other farmers in the rice field when he was attacked.
Bugarin died from a chest wound while being treated in a local hospital.
