Village chief gunned down in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A village chief was shot dead in San Narciso town in Quezon province on Monday.

According to a police spot report, Ruben Carabido, village chieftain of Barangay Binay, was shot by a group of at least eight suspects using different firearms in Barangay Busokbusok around 12:30 p.m.

The victim was hit in different parts of the body and died on the spot.

Police described the suspects as wearing black shirts with the logo of the Communist Party of the Philippines –New People’s Army (CPP-NPA).
