The Office of the Ombudsman vowed on Monday to “leave no stone unturned” in the investigation of the fatal stabbing of a special prosecutor in Quezon City.

In a statement, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales asked the Philippine National Police (PNP) to “thoroughly investigate” the death of Assistant Special Prosecutor Madonna Joy Tanyag.

“Ensure that the perpetrators are immediately caught,” the Ombudsman said in a statement. “The Office will leave no stone unturned.”
