Ombudsman prosecutor stabbed to death in Quezon City

An assistant special prosecutor of the Office of the Ombudsman was killed in a stabbing incident in Quezon City on Monday, police said.

Atty. Madona Joy. Ednaco-Tayag was stabbed by still-unidentified suspect in front of a lottery outlet along Visayas Avenue in Barangay Vasra, Quezon City at around 11:20 a.m.

According to a spot report, Ednaco-Tayag was immediately rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center by village councilor Oliver Pascacio and Segundo Antenor.

She died at 12:04 p.m. while undergoing treatment.

The motive behind the incident has yet to be determined by authorities.  /vvp
