Suspected drug pusher slain in Lucena buy-bust

LUCENA CITY – A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy bust operation here early Sunday.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives shot and killed Dom Ibanez while conducting a buy bust operation in Barangay (village) Cotta around 4:15 a.m., Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a spot report.

The report did not reveal how the operation ended in an armed encounter which resulted in the instantaneous death of the victim.

Authorities seized P1,000 worth of crystal meth or shabu in a plastic sachet, the P1,000 marked money used in the transaction, and a caliber .38 revolver. /je
