Fire broke out in a restaurant at Eastwood Mall, Quezon City, on Sunday.
The city’s Bureau of Fire Protection said the first alarm was raised around 1 a.m. when the stockroom in the mezzanine of House of Wagyu Stone Grill caught fire.
The flames were quickly put out after 30 minutes, leaving around P5,000 worth of property damage, according to Insp. Rosendo Cabillan, investigation chief.
No one was reported killed or hurt.
Initial police reports said the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring, but Cabillan said the case remained under investigation. —Jhesset O. Enano
