2 dead, 3 hurt in bar fight in Quezon
LUCENA CITY – Two persons were killed and three others wounded in a bar fight in Lopez town in Quezon province Wednesday night, police said.
A report from Quezon police headquarters said the group of Rodrigo Angeles Jr., 48, and siblings Arnel, 47, and Archie Glinoga, 48, and one alias “Daniel” were having a drink inside Lady M Videoke bar and Restaurant in Barangay (village) Bebito around 8:30 p.m.
Suddenly, Noli Leona, 32, and four others who were also drinking in another table assaulted the group using broken bottles and a fan knife.
Though wounded, the Glinoga brothers and Daniel were still able to run for their safety. But Angeles was cornered and stabbed twice on his chest and arm by Leona, police said.
Police said Angeles still managed to fight back and also stabbed his attacker hitting Leona on his neck and back. The two both died while being taken to separate hospitals in Lopez.
The three wounded were confined at the hospital.
