Drug suspect killed in Cavite, 4 nabbed in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY – An illegal drug suspect was shot dead in a police buy-bust operation in Bacoor City in Cavite province on Thursday.
A report from the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon (Calabarzon) police headquarters said Jersey Andrade tried to sell suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) to undercover policemen around 12:30 a.m. in Barangay (village) Salinas when he realized it was a sting operation and started to shoot. The policemen shot back and killed Andrade.
The police recovered a .38 caliber gun from Andrade.
In Laguna, police arrested four people also in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Canlalay around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
The suspects were identified as Mark Joseph Hernandez, Richard Malahiro, Zaldy Lotino, and Jerhald Infante.
The police recovered four sachets of suspected shabu.
