Cavite cops kill 2 suspected ‘robbers’

SAN PEDRO CITY – Two suspected robbers were killed in a shootout with the police in Kawit town, Cavite province, on Tuesday.

A report from the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police, said the incident happened shortly before 3 a.m. in Barangay Tabon 3.


It said the local police received a tip about a robbery in the vicinity. When the police arrived, the police met two men on a motorycle.

The men were flagged down for inspection. But instead of yielding, one of them fired shots at the police.


The police retaliated and killed both men, who have yet to be identified.

Police said they recovered a .45 caliber gun and the motorcycle from the slain men. MARICAR CINCO
